In short: Highlight gives you one highlight film. Signature gives you a teaser, a main film and a separate speeches file. Cinematic gives you all of that plus a separate ceremony file, drone photography and multiple videographers. All prices are subject to GST. Fort St. John weddings have no travel fee. Dawson Creek is a flat $99 travel fee and Grande Prairie a flat $199. Travelling further — Prince George, Fort Nelson, or a destination wedding in Banff, Canmore, Jasper or anywhere in BC and Alberta? We travel. Ask us and we'll quote the travel fee upfront.

It isn't a discount and it isn't a compromise. A big agency has rent, sales staff and a rotating roster of contractors to pay for — and that gets built into your quote. We're a small boutique studio with twenty years of experience, our own gear and no overheads to pass along.

We're based in Fort St. John and film weddings across the Peace Region and Northern BC — ranch weddings, lakeside ceremonies, community halls, backyards and the mountains in between. The big towns are below, but the small ones matter just as much to us.

Travel quoted upfront…and all the areas in between. If you're getting married anywhere in Northern BC — Fort Nelson, Pink Mountain, Groundbirch, Kelly Lake, Burns Lake, McBride, Valemount or a farm that isn't on any map — we cover it. Tell us where and we'll be there.
Getting married in Banff, Canmore, Jasper — or anywhere in BC and Alberta? We travel.
Plenty of Northern couples say their vows in the Rockies, the Okanagan or back home in the Lower Mainland. We'll come with you. Weddings outside our Northern BC service area come with a travel fee that we agree on upfront, so there are never surprises — and the film is exactly the same quality it would be at home.

How quickly will we get our film?
Your teaser lands within one week of the wedding and your main film within two weeks. It's one of the fastest turnarounds in the industry — most studios take a month or more.
What's the difference between a teaser, a main film and a highlight film?
A teaser is a short, shareable cut delivered within a week. The main film is your complete wedding film, up to five minutes, delivered within two weeks — both come with the Signature and Cinematic packages. The Highlight package is one single highlight film of your day, without the teaser or the separate files. The films on this site are examples of teasers and main films.
Our wedding is only a few weeks away. Is that too late?
Probably not. We deliberately keep room in our calendar for short-notice weddings, including winter dates. Send us your date and we'll tell you straight away whether we can make it work.
Is drone footage really included?
Yes. Every package includes aerial footage flown by a fully licensed and insured drone operator. Weather, venue rules and airspace restrictions can occasionally limit flying, but wherever the day allows, the drone goes up. The Cinematic package also includes professional drone photography of your venue and setting — think white chairs on a lawn beside the mountains, or a lakeside ceremony — as keepsakes from above. (A church on a snowy day doesn't give the sky much to photograph, so we only shoot it where the location deserves it.)
Can we customise a package?
Absolutely. The three packages are a starting point. If you want extra hours, a separate ceremony file added to Signature, or a specific moment covered, tell us on the form or on a call and we'll shape a package around your day.
Do you travel? What does it cost?
Fort St. John and the communities around it: no travel fee. Dawson Creek and the South Peace: a flat $99 travel fee. Grande Prairie and the County: a flat $199 travel fee. For Prince George, Fort Nelson and elsewhere in the North, we quote travel upfront before you book — no surprises. And yes, we travel for destination weddings across all of BC and Alberta, including Banff, Canmore, Jasper, Kelowna and Vancouver; the travel fee is agreed before you commit.
Will you get in the way on the day?
No. Twenty years of weddings means we know where to stand, when to move and how to capture the real moments quietly. Most couples tell us they barely noticed the camera — and that's exactly how it should be.
Who is Light Cut Productions?
Light Cut Productions is our parent studio, based in Fort St. John. Northern Weddings is its dedicated wedding-film brand, so you get the same team, gear and experience with a site built only around weddings. Your enquiry and any paperwork will come from Light Cut Productions.
